Default Deleting a char that has stuff in HOM

If I dedicate a tormented bow on Character X and delete him, does the bow stay in account wide HOM?

There have been quite a few threads on this subject. They have said that deleting your character does not remove achievements from the HoM.

easy way to test this theory with minimal effort.... take and make a new toon get to eotn and ded a cheap mini pet not on your account yet and then delete him. i have 14 toon slots but they are all in use mate so i'm not testing this theory, goodluck tho.
